ID 2:20

Welcome to the web page of ID 2:20 Youth Ministry. This page is designed to keep you informed of what is happening at ID 2:20. You are probably asking yourself, "What is ID 2:20?." ID is short for Identity and 2:20 is the chapter and verse located in Galatians. Your identity is found in Christ. Reading Galatians 2:19-22 will help you better understand what this youth ministry is all about.

Galatians 2:19-21 (The Message)

19 What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn't work. So I quit being a "law man" so that I could be God's man. 20 Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I am not going to go back on that.

CORE VALUES OF ID 2:20

  1. We believe in maintaining a relationship not a set of rules to please God.
  2. We believe in following the example of Christ's life enables us to be set apart as Christians.
  3. We believe that our identity or ego is no longer self-centered, but Christ-centered.
  4. We believe not in impressing God, but impacting others for God.
  5. We believe in living by faith in the Son of God who gave himself up for each and every person.

We are excited about what God has been doing in our youth services and know that there is much in store for the coming year. We meet every Thursday Night at 7:00 p.m. at First Love Outreach Center. We have a live band that plays and there is a relevant message presented every service. There is a time of fellowship including foosball, air hockey, and more to come.
